O!M!G! You talked to Dick recently about the things they don’t tell you about becoming a parent. This is the one they don’t mention about getting old. Buy us dinner. Hell! A drink would be nice.A call next week. Meet the doctors parents. A nice diamond ring. ANYTHING.

Ah yes, the human balloon routine. They also aren’t especially accurate from what I gather.

Take it from someone who has had both this and a colonoscopy: go with the colonoscopy. The day of prep beforehand is worse (stuff you drink and no solid foods), but they knock you out during the procedure and the accuracy of it for diagnostic purposes is far more reliable.

I refuse to ever have another sigmoid. It’s just hideous.

Once you’re done screaming and writhing, you’ll have the longest and most intense wind of your life for about 20 minutes after. :)

Have it done in December. It can be your Christmas goose!

If you like a sigmoidoscopy you’ll love the “pillar” implant I’m getting; better than wearing the CPAP and reversable. All in the name of marital bliss.

    Leo,
    Two things:
    1. There IS NO best part of growing old.
    2. It could be slightly worse, it could be a colonoscopy.

And to qoute from South Park: Thanks for sharing! I’m surprised you didn’t podcast it

[Personal update: I think I found my system stability problem. I needed a BIOS update for the new CPU I was using. Ahhhh, better now.]

…that’s a great idea…a netcast of Leo’s medical procedures (audio only PLEASE!)

How about ‘This Week in Leo’

Hope everything’s OK with the back passage…

Mark Cuban had a great post about this on his blog, blog maverick, a few months back.

Not to be a downer, but getting old beats the alternative. My wife would still be with us if she got her growing mole checked early enough.

Ewww. Better than an esophagogastroduodenoscopy. LOL

Believe me, you don’t have to be old to get the old sigmoidoscope. In fact, that’s one of the least invasive things I’ve been through in the past year. :)
